Kaitlin Iulo, DVM, CVA, CVSMT, CVMRT

Dr. Kaitlin Iulo (pronounced “eye-you-low”) has been a local of Hilton Head since 2000. After graduating from Hilton Head High School, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in drawing from Clemson University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors. While at UGA CVM she was honored with an award in clinical feline medicine and earned numerous peer-nominated leadership awards for service to her colleagues and commitment to wellness.

Dr. Iulo’s interest in wellness practices for people inspired her to pursue training in holistic and wellness options for pets. While training with mentors, she was amazed at the positive outcomes for animals treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs combined with Western medicine for conditions ranging from paralysis to kidney disease. Dr. Iulo founded Healing Touch Animal Acupuncture to bring these healing traditions to more patients and their families.

Dr. Iulo is a certified veterinary acupuncturist (CVA) through the renowned Chi Institute in Reddick, FL led by Dr. Huisheng Xie. She has also completed the advanced acupuncture training course offered at Chi and is currently studying to be a certified food therapist (CFT). Dr. Kaitlin Iulo is proudly certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (CVSMT) after completing post-graduate training at The Healing Oasis Wellness Center. She is certified through the College of Animal Chiropractors (CoAC). Her experience in Western medicine as a general practitioner enables her to work with your pet’s regular veterinarian to maximize the benefits of an integrative approach for your pet. She loves to learn and is always exploring new options to offer her patients.
